Below are some Frequently asked Questions. If you don't see your questions listed, or have a suggestion for one, please e-mail us and we'll be glad to have it included! americanheritagegirlsfl3130@gmail.com

Q. What fees might I expect for the year?

A. It is our desire that costs do not make it difficult for a girl to participate. We are currently working on some options to make sure everyone can participate. Monthly plans and partial scholarships are available on a limited basis, based on donations at the time.

Registration is $26 each year.

Uniform costs vary according to level.

~Pathfinders-$28 including t-shirt, necklace (with beads they earn throughout the year) and handbook. Not included but still part of the uniform is a navy blue or khaki skort, bermuda shorts or pants.

~Tenderhearts-$58.99 includes vest, neckerchief, official AHG polo and Handbook. Not included but still part of the uniform is a navy blue or khaki skort, bermuda shorts or pants.

~Explorers-$58.99 includes vest, neckerchief, official AHG polo and Handbook. Not included but still part of the uniform is a khaki skort, bermuda shorts or pants.

~Pioneers-$51.99 includes sash, official AHG polo and Handbook. Not included but still part of the uniform is a khaki skort, bermuda shorts or pants.

~Patriots-$51.99 includes sash, official AHG polo and Handbook. Not included but still part of the uniform is a khaki skort, bermuda shorts or pants.

Dues-$5 per month, for 9 months. Can be paid at once or throughout the year. This includes most badges that would be earned throughout a year.

Handbook-$18. This is a one-time purchase. One girl will be able to use this book for her entire AHG journey.

Handbook Supplement -$10. This is a one-time purchase. One girl will be able to use this book for her entire AHG journey. This is also available as a free PDF download.

From time to time we have other special events which may arise. We do our best to keep costs down for everyone. The majority of us are frugal, one-income families and have more than one girl involved so we try to make sure costs are manageable for everyone to participate.

Q. What does a typical meeting look like?

A. Generally, our meetings will include an opening flag ceremony, then we break up into our Units (the different levels) to complete badge work, do a Bible study, play some games, do a craft, or prepare for a service project. When done with friends, it is ALL FUN!!!

Some things we have done in the past are: Mother/Daughter Tea Party, game night with residents at Park of Palms, Horse Campout, Family Campout, Outdoor Sports Day, and many more!

(We're always open to suggestions for new things to do.)

 Q. Do you do fundraisers?

A. Absolutely! Dues cover badges and not much more. We hold fundraisers for things like Leader training, scholarship funds, paying National Yearly Dues, camping gear, and general supplies and crafts.

Some examples of fundraisers we have done so far are: Spaghetti Dinner, Car Wash/Bake Sale/Yard Sale. We have not done direct-market sales such as chocolates, or popcorn etc, but we are constantly evaluating what might work best for the troop. All girls are required to participate in two fundraisers and there are a variety of ways to do so at each type of fundraiser. A fundraiser buyout option is available for parents who do not wish to have their girls fundraise.
